Yes
I almost am. Wahoo!

Not as organised this year as previous years, but you know, having a late October wedding does that

I have a few presents left to wrap (did most today) and the food to buy and that's it all sorted

Oh and I won all my booze in the Church Christmas Raffle - score!

I keep finding myself singing Christmas songs though! hehe

Yup all sorted for Christmas here to

Just have one more present left to buy, the wife's

Ditto on the Christmas songs as well :D

I will be going to see my daughter in her nativity play tomorrow

Where are yer bloomin' Christmas avatars???

I normally start my Christmas shopping with a week to go. This year I've done a load already, but it's all been done online so far so haven't had to bother going out to do it. Last few bit's, I may well have to get in shops though but as said plenty of time for that. :).
Youngest son is 12 now, so some of the Christmas magic seems to have gone, that and that feeling of Christmas excitement happened and went about 2 weeks ago. :(

Only one present bought so far and that is a couple of books I got to give to my wife to wrap up and give back to me. Plenty of shopping time left!

Steve.

Its our first Christmas in our own house (previously been living with parents) so I'm quite excited about Christmas this year, it normally takes me until the 20th or so to get "Festive".

Present wise we are sorted (or will be by end of today) just need to wrap them, and wait for one last one to arrive.

Food wise we are sorted except for veg which we'll get on Christmas week.

Decorations and the tree will be going up this weekend :D

for the first time since being a child, I'm looking forward to Christmas in early December

Decorations and the tree will be going up this weekend :D
Our Christmas tree went up on Monday and the cat brought it back down again at 6:30 the next morning. My wife wasn't best pleased as it had taken her most of Monday afternoon and evening to decorate the tree, whilst suffering from a bad cold and ear infection.

and now you have a cat to mount on top of the tree instead of an angel

That thought did cross my wifes mind.
The cat likes to chew on the branches or climb up inside. We have a smaller tree now which sits on top of a deep shelving unit. Not sure if the cat thought she could climb inside this one too.
It's my wife's fault though or that's what I told her, leaving all that tantalizing stuff there to torment the poor cat. What did she expect.

So..... how is life, living in the garage? have the doctors said when you will be able to walk again?

Ah yes the Christmas tree. With two house cats it is not that fun :|

Pressie wise I feel bad but have done most of it from the sofa or work this year, hmmm think I have spent more to make up for it though lol:thinking:

I'm ok at the moment, she's not well enough to catch me nor the cat.
Besides I think I'm safe as my wife has asked for stuff for Christmas, where as I've said I don't want anything and I've already bought my own presents for the kids to give me.

I`m not, oddly enough....:naughty:

You bored or something Graham........:D

I am all done now, just a couple of things due form Amazon for the wife and thats it.
Daughter is all bought for and wrapped.

My mum has that problem. Now the bottom of the tree is bare except for 1 tatty old bauble that the cat has batted with his paw for the past 12 Christmas'. Works a treat even if it does look odd.

i think we may have to take our christmas tree down, the kitten has already stripped it, tangled himself up in the tinsel and lights and generally broken it and its been up for less than an hour.

we think we'll come home to find him tangled and strangled in it if we leave it up

:(

shopping is all done

Dinae celebrate Christmas here. Too expensive:shrug:

I've been to town today and done the bulk of my christmas shopping for the family in under two hours which is definately a record for me. Still got to get presents for my OH and neice but I'm definately feeling more in control than I was at 9am this morning!

Cant wait!!
For it to come and go :D
Veg and potatoes sorted as enough stored from the garden, the turkey will be replaced by a two bird affair this year. Two chickens from my flock. Have bought no presents for anyone and have told them not to bother either, but seem to be getting a steady flow of mail from the bank :( Cashed my pensions in early to keep our head above water :gag: The car is next

But the thing is we keep on smiling  Cos there are a lot of people worse off than us

Not even started my cards, let alone pressies.

ordered personalised cards...thats it! No prezzies, wrapping paper...! I dread this time of the year! ;)

When it got to december I started my prepartions.

I would not discuss it nor do anything about it before the 1st on principle.

I'm getting there. Most of the pressies bought. Just have to wait for december pay day to buy the rest. I will put the decorations up this week and have nearly finished writing cards. My TP secret santa gift is ready to post.Carol CD's are in the car.

Vouchers bought for nephew and niece (if we buy them anything, they get their Mum to ask us for the receipt so they can get the cash instead...) and made a start on stuff for the wife.

Tree is in a pot in the garden (it's survived since last year!) and since outdoor decorations are naffer than a naff thing with added naffness, it's going to stay bare. Might have a string of tinsel in the sitting room if I can't avoid it.

Finally, after 20 something years, I've persuaded her that I'm happy for her to sign all the cards with "From Her and Nod" so I don't need to deal with any of them, although I will do some for close family.

In the words of Kevin Wilson, "Ho, ho, f*****' ho, what a crock of ***t!"

I saw the Coca Cola advert on Saturday so its officially Christmas season for me now.

Done about 90% of the christmas shopping for the wife and about 10% for the rest of the family  Will finish the rest of it on the weekend before :D Need to save the pennies i still have left for my poker match this Thursday ;)

Edit: And the tree goes up this weekend, for our cats to terrorize too. Why do we all own cats?

Presents are all bought & wrapped and the wife wrote all the cards last night (I'm not allowed to, I have worse handwriting than a doctor apparently).
The decorations and tree were supposed to go up on Sunday, but we spent the day far too hungover from the works xmas party to contemplate balancing up a ladder.

Why do we all own cats?

I use ours to test the AF speed on every new lens I buy :D
