I thought it easier to start a separate topic, I've tried to trade in a camera but the quote I've received is drastically lower than the initial quote for dust and condition of the camera. Firstly "Dust/fibre between lens and sensor impacting image", I didn't notice any dust when using the camera and going back through the photos I've taken with it at smaller apertures I can't see any dust spots. Unfortunately I don't have any proper test images looking for dust and I don't have the camera, I've uploaded a couple of images taken at F8 with a bright sky which are as good as I have and wondering if anyone can spot any dust in the images:

They also downgraded the condition assessing it as 'good' which means:
The item is in good overall condition, but may have some signs of cosmetic wear, i.e. light scuffing to some areas or slight shiny surfaces, the clean/mark-free glass, lens mount and lens barrel have some signs of wear. The focus ring is smooth and in good condition. There may be some light dust present.
When I looked over the camera I couldn't see a mark on it and checking over images of the camera I still can't see any marks on it that are even close to this description, in the photos there looks like there is a mark above the flash but I don't think there is anything there on the camera. Looking at their cameras for sale those rated 'good' have noticeable wear marks usually with patches of bare metal on them and even their 'excellent' ones seem to have visible marks at times as well.

I'm really split on what to do because I likely won't get much use out of the camera if I get it returned and I wouldn't be comfortable trying somewhere else in case they do the same. However if there are visible dust spots in the images I'm missing which is entirely possible then I may as well write the camera off and accept the reduced quote. I did wonder if the camera had been damaged in transit which would seem to explain it but on reading posts there are others who seem to have had a similar problem with a reduced quote and when they've had the item returned, it doesn't have the issues listed so it may be the company are trying it on because they don't want the item or don't want to pay the original price.

All I can see on the body is the couple of small scratches on the body below the flash.
