Yes
everything I've read says the mot test station should still provide an A4 sheet detailing the vehicle has passed, but the test station says they no longer have to issue them as it's now all online.
Dvla website shows example of certificate that can
be issued.
any idea which is correct?
I know we can print acopy off ourselves if required.

MOT on my car done 12th June and certificate issued as normal. :)

May be your MOT stations decision not to give one? ;)

It's not necessary to have a certificate but I'm reasonably sure that an MoT station has to give you a copy if you request one (but that might be old news now, if you can get at and print a copy yourself.) The places we use all give us a copy as a matter of course.

It’s all online anyway so that’s enough, mot’d 3 cars last week and they had no toner for the printer and I asked and they said exactly that and made nothing of it.

Had an MOT done last month and a certificate was supplied, but if the station owners become aware of this certificates will be no more, another penny saved for them?

Just picked my car up after MOT/service and the certificate was on the passenger seat
Still waiting for the bill though, no doubt will have to chase that

It's not really a proper watermarked type certificate as such like the old days. It's more of a receipt.

Gives you the results of emission tests etc. too

Thanks for the replies.
Sounds like the dealer my wife used just can't be arsed printing them out.
She can print one herself online, but that's not the point.
