Are Lee Filters Worth The Extra Money

As I had A thread about buying either cokin z pro or hitech 100 I`am coming round to the idea put more money in the pot and buy some lee grads ,holder ,ring etc now the question is are they worth the extra money
Come on lee filter users give some of your views are they that good

My hitechs would throw a severe red cast when they were stacked, i eventually bit the bullet and got some Lee filters, havent regretted it. Yes they are expensive but they are something you wont need to replace very often

They do seem to be made to a higher optical precision than just about anything else, so you get what you pay for.

Yes, they are.

Reduced flare, you can stack as many as you want without colour casts.

They are the single piece of kit which made the biggest difference to my photography (well, that and knowing how to use them!)

Another definite Yes from me....I wasted money on both Cokin & Hitech before buying Lee

Thanks for the input guys this is what I want to hear I do`nt as you say want to waste money on cokin/hitech which maybe a good filtesr for the money but also wish I`d got some lee filters

well my hitech reverse grad works better than my lee. Being 0.9 hard helps a bit with that, and no colour cast

Ok seam to be sold on lee filters just need to rob a bank to pay for them
whats the filter holder like as seen reviews on youtube against the cokin one and they seam to say because of the pull fastener on the lee holders theres a chance you can lose them as they can come undone whats your veiws on this

It's actually not that easy to knock it off by accident, it needs quite a firm sustained pull to remove it
