Hello all,

Having had some of the early DAB radios which ate batteries like a hungry dog would eat a steak I wondered if the newer ones were any better ?

I do not know the answer but the two DAB radios in my house are connected to the mains so no problem.

I used to use rechargeable batteries in mine to try and keep the costs down and they didn't last long but they never last as long as Duracell's. I haven't used it for a while now as I now use an old mobile phone with no sim card in it.

Depending on how long you want to use one for could a wind up radio be something to think about? I had one a while back and it used to run for 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour before it needed winding again.
