On the radio this morning, they were saying about several Terns that were fitted with trackers to follow their migration.
I can't remember the full details, but the winner apparently travelled 60,000 miles to and from its wintering place to return here to breed.
Each journey apparently takes 4 months..

I'll be congratulating them when I visit the Farnes later in the month ... they will probably be so excited that they will want to pat my head! :D
Amazing little birds and even the gulls don't mess with them.

Or "pat on" your head :D

A truly amazing feat for a bird of that ( or any) size!

It really is astonishing really.
