Arca Swiss compatible foot for Nikkor 200f/2

Hi guys, i hope we are all well & bearing up under the current conditions..

So, i'm after (hopefully) a replacent lens foot for my 200 f/2. i know there are fairly universal plates out there from all the usual suspects which will work if needs be but i would really like a replacement foot.
Main reason is because when not in use the hood is reversed over the body & existing foot & using a generic plate would make this impossible :rolleyes: Ideally i'd like to not have to use allen keys every time i get the lens out :hungover:
So basically i'd like to find an arca swiss compatible, hood friendly foot..

i have had a google & can only find multitudes of secondary plates...

How about the RRS LCF-15? I've struggled to find RRS gear in the UK but have bought loads from Photospecialist in the Netherlands.

Yes it's looking like this might be my primary option, funnily it did pop up in a search i did using broader terms just after i posted :thinking:
Once i took the word "Kirk" out of my search :rolleyes:
i will give them a try :ty:
 
Looks like Kirk have a matching product as well, the Kirk LP-51

it's described as a lens plate rather than a foot which is why i struggled to find them before :rolleyes:

Just need to find UK stock now :)

I've used WEX for Kirk stuff, some of it has been back order from the States.

Found another one now - wimberley AP-552

Amazing the difference using plate instead of foot in the search :rolleyes:

any of the ones mentioned above will work plus ive discovered the Sunwayfoto LF-N2 is a decent priced alternative,
Sadly nothing available in the UK at present.

i want one made from 6061 or similar as a friend had a cast one break & it cost him a few quid so i won't be getting a cheapy chinese one...

Thanks - I think I've got a 200 f/2 on the way - I'll keep a look out
 
I can recommend the Wimberley parts. I just replaced the foot on my 300mm VR1 with the AP551. I did have a Wimberley plate on the existing Nikon foot but it does not have the holes for my monopod and I did not want keep taking it on and off so a complete new foot with threaded holes made much more sense. Wimberley parts are very well made too.

Thanks @Hadge I’ve got a wimberly gimbal head and agree - their stuff is very well made.
I’m struggling to find stock in the U.K. of that particular foot - I do travel to the USA frequently but with the current circumstances- that won’t be happening anytime soon!
 
Have you tried Bob Rigby Photography? He supplied me with my AP-551 foot.
