As you may be aware Adobe Max is on today and they released updated version of their major apps as well as Firelfly ai generator. You can watch for free at https://www.adobe.com/uk/max-london.html

Lightroom Classic received Landscape selection tool, which is pretty much buggy and useless. It may work for some images. Who knows.... Object select tool is probably still a better and more universal bet where needed.
More importantly they fixed laggy crop tool bug in proofing mode.

Photoshop - some improvements in subject select. Could be useful. Not that much else.

The thing they are really going on and on and on about is the firefly. Apparently new model 4 is out, but I don't see any improvements at all. It outputs utter garbage. Try and see for yourself: https://firefly.adobe.com/ . If you don't feel "creative" just type in my simple prompt "generate large victorian mansion on a sea cliff at the sunset"

the house is absolutely awfully rendered

There is firefly 4 ultra model too. You get 2 test runs before they ask for more £££. Image looked better but actually not amazing, and it wasn't even a victorian mansion but white american style wooden house!!!

there are some problems with wood detail if this is too downsized to inspect

they must clearly now understand that their models SUCK and now include 3rd party models like Google, chat gpt and others for their premium subscribers. So basically you get to pay more than either of these platforms want and have everything in one place for convenience. Or you can go to google AI and type in same prompt and get this back for free

that looks pretty darn good that it scares the living daylight out of me. Like we are out of business. Firefly 4 ultra is nowhere near this.

The whole firefly thing seems geared towards large corporations or designs studios looking to explore different design ideas visually, and probably create lots of designs at a lower cost while cutting us out.

There are vector models for illustrator which may work better, but I won't go into it.

Fell free to share your thoughts or just vent frustration

This is most likely because Adobe is American. If you google for "American Victorian House" you'll see plenty of examples of clapboard houses like the above. And hardly any four-storey terraced houses with stone steps up to the 'ground' floor and an open basement with windows.
