Anyone got one of these?

When it came out I ignored it because I have never liked using trackpads on laptops and always favour the mouse. Then at the weekend I was in PC World whilst the wife was in Next and the iMacs all had them and no mouse so I had to give it a go whilst I was checking my emails.

I was sold instantly. the difference it made taking the trackpad off to the right, increasing the size and putting it at a slight angle was amazing.

I bought one and I've been using it for the last few days. I don't use it solely as doing anything finite can be a challenge but surfing the net on it is a dream especially with all the multi touch gestures going back and forward on webpages.

I thoroughly recommend for apple and windows users alike (It works on windows too i'm pretty sure)

I had one but sent it back after a week, as you say for general surfing no probs but forget anything like Photo work. Plus I already had a magicmouse so didn't see the benefit I got from having both.

I think if I was to look at a pad again I would probably go for one of the bamboo pen & touches...

lol, i have a tablet a magic mouse and the trackpad now and I use all three.

tablet for photo work
magic mouse for real work
trackpad for browsing web.

The magic mouse is great for scrolling but the other gestures on it I don't sit with, the flicks left and right move the mouse as it inst heavy enough and i love the four finger swipes to reveal desktop and expose on the trackpad

I have the pad and love it. It is not perfect for photo work, but then again neither is a mouse. It really is a nice to have the same controls as my macbook on my iMac. I would recommend it. As I also have a small workspace this has been really handy to me.

Won't replace a pen & tablet, but if you have used a MacBook and like the pad on there, get this and you will probably never use your mouse again (I just sold mine for that exact reason).

Or if you have used the pad on a macbook and don't like it get it too! thats what happened with me - i generally don't like laptop pads as i mentioned above - but making it bigger and moving it away from the centre is so much better. Think about it, who uses their mouse in the middle of their screen? no-one, left handed or right handed you do it to the side - with a laptop the pad is fixed so it has to be in the middle to suit both parties - but it's a tradoff. the movable trackpad you can put it wherever you want.

Great for browsing but the magic mouse & Wacom for photo-editing
