Apple lightning usb-c adapter

My wife has the above card reader with the lightning end for her old 2018 iPad.

Is there anything on the market so the lightning end fits into an adapter which will then fit into her new 2021 iPad Pro with a usb-c slot?

Reading this it says for juice only. Do you, or does anyone know if it will still read her so card?
