Apple iphone 16 Pro and Pro Max

Obviously the iphone 17 is out today but the camera in the iphone 16 Pro looks amazing

I'm in upgrade mode at the present time, (at my age my wife, and grown up kids say you may as well spend it) ......... so maybe a new iphone is on my list ........... the 16 Pro is £999 and the Pro max +£100 but I think the Pro Max. is just too big to fit in the pocket ........... maybe the 16 will drop in price once the 17 is available.

I was amazed by the results produced by the camera etc., in the 16 Pro/Pro Max

I've got a 16 Pro Max, having upgraded from an older 13 Pro Max which I'd had for several years and prior to that a 10 Pro. It is bigger and heavier than the Pro model but you do quickly get used to it.

For me, the slightly bigger screen and the improved battery life were worth the extra. I use mine to download photos from my camera, review and send quickly via whatsapp so a slightly bigger screen helps. The battery life though was the main reason, it will last a full weekend of use without needing charged, and during the week where it's not used as much, I can easily get 3-4 days light use without needing to charge it.

I'd have to agree with JohnStewart above, the battery life on my 16 Pro is simply amazing. I charge it overnight, and when I go to bed (around 11pm each night), it typically still has over 80% charge. The iphone 17 Pro looks like the Apple price with 256GB is £1,099 which is about the same price as the iphone 16 Pro with 256GB, (£999 discounted on Amazon and other sites)

so hopefully there will be a few 16 Pro's around at discount prices
