My normal workflow is to use the Apple lightning to SD card reader to transfer my raw fiels to my iPad/iPhone. This works well wih no issues. I wanted to try the USB3 Camera connection kit Apple sell, in the hope i might be able to just use my CF card.
When i plug everything together the ipad sees the camera, and the camera busy light flashes. The Photos app opens and takes me to the Import window. All good so far. The issue is now i dont get any previews, like i do with the SD card kit. Just blank boxes. It does highlight the files ive already imported, and let me select the files i want to import, but thats all i can do.
Im guessing this isnt right, but cant think of anything else i need to do.
Any ideas? Both iPad and iPhone have no issues reading my raw files once they are on the devices, and both show preview images when reading from a SD card.
