Does anybody use the above? I had cs5 on my pc and always found it to complicated, just after people's views on aperture as its £55 in the app store and sounds rather good! Any help at all would be brilliant.
Thanks

There was a there's a out this a few days ago, with a lot of feedback.

I'm a Lightroom fan, but of I was starting again it would be Aperture, mainly for the price.

Adobe will be able to transfer your CS5 license if you want.

Thanks guys, is it quite easy to use? I have done very little on the editing side of photography because I couldn't get my head around adobe cs5,

Always use Aperture along with NIK plugins. I find it easier to use than CS5.

very easy to use. I trialed LR and A3 when I wanted to move on from iphoto and Aperture was like second nature. It can be as simple as a cataloging program with some basic editing features or you can do all sorts of selective brushing and editing. Then if you find you really do need more you can either get some add-ons like noiseware or you can use an external editor like elements while keeping A3 as the catalog and general editor. For the price, I don't see how you can beat it.

thanks

Yes, absolutely. It is very easy to use, totally focussed on photography and rather intuitive I find. I can't stand the layer approach in Photoshop, my brain just doesn't seem to find it natural. In aperture you can do exactly the same and just brush it in or out where you want it. Simple. If you still have one-2-one with your Mac, the Apple Store do some great sessions on Aperture, I can highly recommend it.

1-2-1 what that?? Lol! It's pay day today so I'm going to get it purchased and see how I get on! Wish me luck :)

1-2-1 is apples training program. It is £72 and for that you have one year during which you can book an unlimited amount of sessions on nearly all apple products and software and even some third party. The only other rules are that it must be purchased when buying a new mac in an apple store and that you can only have one booking at anyone time.

I've found the knowledge and experience very good with the people that do that. Most seem to be freelancers who also work with apple.

Praphs a bit to late as I've had the mac a month nearly now, my local apple store is just a premium seller and I do remember they offered me something like this and said I had up to a year, il ring them on Monday :) thanks for the advise

Fingers crossed. I once had to have a polite conversation as they auto activated my 1-2-1 which I didn't realise so when I started using it it was expired. Apples customer service in store was great. They refunded it and let me buy a new pack a year later :)
