Hi there

anyone found an affordable iOS app which can be used with an iPhone camera to check the FOV of various focal lengths

I'm imagining that I would use my phone to frame up a composition before getting my kit out

Why do you want to do this? Is it for a large format film camera?

I use "Viewfinder" - you can customise it for sensor/film sizes and preset a selection of lenses, it warns you when you go wider than 28mm (FF) as thats the focal length of the lens in my iphone - it maintains its own photo gallery, and tags the images with the simulated camera settings used. - you can also set up different crop sizes (aspect ratios) - its a nifty little app.
 
I can't find it in PhotoPills

and love the way that Viewfinder Preview does it
