Yes
I load all my photos into Aperture first just to review all the shots I have taken and a bit of batch editing, for more in depth editing I'll load the photo in to Photoshop.

I've been noticing that once I have opened the image in photoshop it has lost some quality, looks a bit flat and not as sharp.

Is there a reason why this is happening, anything I can do about it?

cheers

How are you getting the images from Aperture to Photoshop?

As you need to make sure you export the images using the file-export, you will also need to make sure you export them as high quality jpeg or as the raw file.

I export the images to a folder on my desktop then open them in photoshop.

Try this, in Apertures preferences open the export tab, choose PhotoShop as your external editor. Use the drop down to select which format to export in. There's a choice of 4. Selecting 16 Bit is obviously the best quality but I've found some actions wont work unless the image is 8 Bit. Simply right click the image in Aperture and choose edit in CS3/4 or which ever version you are using.

thats excellent mate, it adds the file to my aperture project to.

Thanks!
