Aperture "Faces"

I have been asked to project managed the digitization of a family archive spanning some 40 years, and some 120,000 pictures.
to try and aid speeding up the process of captioning all the pictures I am looking at using apertures faces system to help identify people.

How well as a system does it work??

It works very well for me, and seems quite accurate. Example during recent picture editing I used my dog "Ellie" as an experiment for the face recognition and it does pick her out....Don't know how,as she,s a dog

as far as i can tell, there isnt a way to automatically create a caption with the name, though. You have to copy and paste it manually for each photo.
Hopefully someone can tell me that I'm wrong so it will make my life a lot easier
