Aperture dead, new "Photos" app to replace it and iPhoto

Heads-up for Mac users: there will be no further development of Aperture, and iPhoto will be replaced by Photos in OS X Yosemite.

Given the language used in this announcement, I think it's unwise to expect that Photos will have much, if any, Aperture-style pro photo functionality.
