Aperture , CS3 and Printing.

Hi all

I use Aperture and CS3 when doing my post processing and I was wondering if there are others who use this combination I have been trying to do most of my working from within Aperture.

Work flow is as follows...

Import to Aperture and review images
Delete non starters
Move from Import for sorting folder to proper location
Process images
Edit images from within Aperture with CS3
Print from within Aperture
Export for web from within Aperture.

I have been trying to reduce the amount of CS3 work outside of aperture as I have multiply files then and any CS3 edits are not tracked by aperture if I carryout the processing from within aperture all modifications are tracked and updated in Aperture.

Does any one else use this method if so are there any downfalls I have only been using aperture in this was for the 3 or 4 months and find it the best way for my situation.

its roughly about the same as my workflow, but i very rarely bother with photoshop as i can do all the editing i need within aperture

Well thats good to hear that I have not invented a convoluted method for myself, the bits I can not achieve in Aperture are things like selective colouring and multiple exposure blending. That said I have to do these outside of aperture any way.

Same process here... your not alone.

Now that Aperture supports 3rd party plugins it wont be long before we will be able to do almost everything within Aperture and its plugins. Though the external editor has been implemented quite well.
