Yes
I've just bought a used D700 and upon mounting a lens the viewfinder was really dark (lens was a 50mm f/1.8). Looking into the lens it was stopped down at f/22 so I removed the lens to check the aperture lever on the body.
On my D300 its resting position is in the raised position but on the D700 it is in the lower position. D700 will fire at up to f/3 but past that I get a flashing ERR message.
What the heck is going on??
