Hey all,

Does anyone have any experience with appropriate image adjustments to get the best of the Aperture Photobook service?

Although I can PDF Proof, its not quite the same as someone who has had several printed, and has some tips as a result.

I have used them once before, and remember being pleased with the results, but unfortunately that book was a gift, so I don't have my own copy to go through...

Cheers

I have an A3 sample album from Aperture Books and am really happy with it. Nothing special other than to remember to stick to bleed guides and delete any image boxes you don't use but might have hidden under different layouts.

We've used them a few times for "budget" albums. Software very easy to use, remembering the points that Jim has raised above.
The last one we did was for a couple who were devastated when their "wedding photographer" presented them with horrendous images in an equally horrendous Blurb album. We managed to rescue (to a point) some of the images and re-design another album. It's worth paying the bit extra for the heavier pages, and the other extra's - presentation boxes also available.

Cheers guys, great tips.

I remember being very happy with the quality from before. I must admit, personally, I'm not convinced by these more expensive albums, having viewed a couple at my wedding photographers. They're all huge, with odd covers which make the things really thick!

From what I remember, the aperture books are much more sleek!

One final (silly) question - I don't think I'm seeing the bleed guides. Whereabout is the options to add these in?
