Aperture 3 Vs LR 3 (crashing)

I'm currently using Aperture 3 on my macbook pro, but find it crashes without any good reason.
It used to do it all the time if zooming and cloning etc.. but they repaired that with an update.
So now it just randomly crashes/freezes..I think I'm at the end of my tether with it...

Can LR users, confirm that this is stable on the Mac and does not randomly crash?

Have had Lightroom on 2 Macs for around two years without any unexplained crashes or shutdowns

Download the trial version and see if it is stable on your Mac for the 30 day period. If you are happy you can then purchase the full version
 
Have you got the latest update for Aperture? Mine has been completely stable since the last update a few months back.

Yeh, did the stability update, which is why I'm still using it now.. otherwise I'd have binned it a couple of months back :(

Its annoying, because I like it...
 
I am having no problems at all. Have you got the latest Snow Leopard update?
 
Did you do a permissions repair? Also check your fonts for duplicates as that can cause unexplained issues.
 
And last Wednesday was another update to Aperture, you may want to download that one.
 
I've just done all the updates and so far, so good... fingers crossed that when later I put it through its paces.. it holds up! Must admit, that this is the worst I've seen from Apple out of the box.. very disappointed!

Well considering millions of people are using it and in many pro environments, I use it distributed on 5 different machines without trouble. So possibly you have found a bug with something specific you do, have you logged it with Apple as well and provided the crash dump logs.
