anyone else notice these two annoying problems?

1) when i import photos from a card, it asks me if i want to erase and eject the card. i say 'yes' but it doesnt erase the card

2) when exporting and giving each export a file name with a sequential number it starts again at the original number instead of starting from the last number used. damn annoying when you are saving files to the same folder as you used last time

other than that its excellent.

Just had the first of your problems just now, everything seemed to work... Stuck the card back in the camera and all images were there, back into computer and Aperture 2.01 cannot see them on the card (Nothing to Import), but browsing the card in finder shows all the images and lets me open them in CS3... very odd.

i always thought it was best to erase / format the card in the camera

Aye, youre probably right, but from a lazy point of view

If the software will format after it copies the photos over, and you get into the habit (like I have) of letting it do that, and you can never accidentally import a set twice or more importantly accidentally delete a set (by formating in camera thinking youve already imported them)

if i use nikon transfer that automatically erases the card, i dont know about other camera makes

also thats not Aperture

The first time I tried to erase images from the card (with 1.5?) the system stalled. So I always format the card in camera now. I just eject the card once all images are loaded. I've not tried with 2.01 or 2.1 for this reason.
