Morning all,
Wondered if anyone here uses aol email ? I have two accounts which for reasons I won't go into I really don't want to get rid of.
For some time now both these accounts won't sync with the Win 10 pc app or the Apple IOS app , error on pc says "settings are out of date" and promps me to re-enter my password .
This has no effect , I then get a message saying " you may have to give permission for this account to sync with win 10 "
Both accounts work perfectly well in a browser and on my phone with the dedicated Aol app
Anyone else had this and found a cure ?
I've tried deleting from app and re-installing but no joy!
 
It may need some technical changes like port number or TLS which are hard to do without a more professional app like Outlook or Thunderbird
Do they not have a form of webmail you could check periodically.
 
Thanks to all who replied, tried all of the above but to no avail. Turned out all I had to do was to create an "app specific password" did that and all is working again !
