Hi all

I found ref to the XP-55 having seen an article about the PictureMate PM400

The XP-55 uses the Claria inks and is 6 ink but the PM400 uses a 4 ink set.

The XP look quite budget worthy (the PM is more expensive) but just how good it, so looking for some feedback as what others experiences of it might be whether they regret buying it or would buy another one???

TIA :)

Not the XP-55, but I bought a XP760 recently and I choose this over others to have closed paper system, rather than back feeding paper. It seems a good quality six ink printer, although a little noisey when starting up.

Currently on offer with Amazon for £99.00 > https://www.amazon.co.uk/Epson-Expression-XP-760-Printer-Claria/dp/B00NAS415O

Good pointer, thanks :)

Looks like the XP-55 on steroids with useful added features but importantly the 6 colour inkset.

Hmmmm!

I surmise the Canon Pixma MG7750 would be the other make equivalent, bearing in mind the different folks experiences???

Inks wise as I read it the Epson has the additional Light Cyan and Light Magenta whereas the Canon has a black tank just for text documents and no "light" inks but does have a grey ink that it claims improves the quality when printing B&W. So which is best.....light inks with standard (Cyan ~ std & light, Magenta std & light, Yellow and Black) or grey with the standard CYM & Black(s)???
