Anyone used DS Colour Labs for process and scan?

I've used DSCL many times for digital printing and have always been happy with them, so I don't need any recommendations on that front.

However, has anyone ever used them for film processing and scanning? I normally use Peter Gaffney's Metro Colour Lab, but they've been taken over by AG Photo Lab, whose website refuses to let me order more than 2 films or 3 films, depending on what mood it's in. Unfortunately I've got more than that to do:(

I'm aware of the list of labs on the forum, but was wondering if anyone had any specific experience of this lot?

I used them for film processing only before I started doing it myself.

Film processing was great...no problems at all. Can't comment on scanning though.

If I stopped processing myself, I would have no hesitation in using them again for film.

I've used them for dev & scan and was very pleased with the results as they identified a problem with my T90 from the negatives, called me to explain and even apologised for not being able to recover all the detail (it wasn't stopping down the aperture when taking a shot).

They did the development for all the shots in this set on flickr and those are the basic-level scans.

I'd use them again. :)

Thanks guys, good to hear some positive feedback. I'll give AG one more try tomorrow, and if the website is still not playing ball, and maybe give them a call as they may not know there's a problem. I might well send a couple of films to DS to check them out, although they are more expensive.

What are you having trouble doing Andy? I've just added 5 rolls of b&w process & scan to the cart with no trouble.

Every time I add a third film, it just goes back to showing two films. Except once when I managed to get three films in, then wouldn't add a fourth. When I tried to delete one (I'd put the wrong scan size) it then deleted them all. The total price in the checkout box in the top corner is all over the place to.
I'll give it another go tomorrow at work.

That's a bit of a pain, I'd just give them a call in the morning. They've always been helpful when I've called them. I think they've got a downloadable order form somewhere.

I don't know whether I was just unlucky but I used DSCL twice and both times I had to phone them in order to get my negs back. On both occasions they said that the films hadn't arrived with them but on both occasions they had debited my card weeks earlier so they must have had the order form and the films.
I have never had any trouble with their digital print service, top notch and really quick every time but I won't use them for devving again, Peak Imaging for me, fast and efficient.
