Dont need parking or anything.. But is the ground shadowy on a sat afternoon.. big stands half the pitch dark and half light sort of thing? Any info appreciated..

I always use google maps, look outside your house at 3pm anyday, see which direction the shadows are falling, look on google mapd at your house, draw an imaginary line across your house/land which way the sun is shining/shadows falling.

Google map the ground and transfer the imaginary line in exactly the same direction as was falling on your house and you get a deadly accurate representation of where the sun is coming from so will be able to tell what the shadows will be like

Seems like youre in luck, the sun will be coming in from the open end of the ground diagonally from corner to corner at 3pm and will move to coming from behind the goal at the open end at the final whistle, couldn't ask for any better.

Oooh, it's been a while Tony....

The above website is always a good clue to how the ground looks. As you can see, there are only 3 stands, so I always used to position myself at the "west end" which is the empty end. You get stands in the background, and by late afternoon you've got fewer shadows coming across the pitch. The South stand is quite tall though, so you will get shadows. I only shot a game there in Jan/Feb so they'd be quite different to what you'll get!

Tony, i shot there almost a year ago. It was a pretty sunny day but shadow wasnt too bad. There was some shadow creeping onto the pitch towards the end of the game but nothing too bad.

this was one the first games i did, so excuse the quality!

Cheers am there this sat.. going on supporters coach so just ground info... ta:)

From memory, picked up pass from club reception. Once i had my pass i just had to see a steward at one of the large blue gates show them the pass and they let me in. Could shot from anywhere around the pitch apart from the usual no-go zone around the benches.

I didnt have to send anything from the game so i cant comment on facilites such as press room (if they have one) or wifi etc.

Only usualy wire at night matches so dont need owt really :) thnaks for the info :)

Just been pulled off this job .. oh hum them that pay the money get to make the decisions... will now be covering cricket followed by colne blues festival
