Has anyone out there got a photo pass for the Ryder Cup, I have a client who needs three or four pictures.

Many thanks
Andrew

what's the script with the licensing of the photo's at the Ryder Cup? i'm going on friday and i go to The Open most years - strictly as a spectator of course - but i'm assuming every photo is under the similar licensing rules as Premier League?
i'd really like to hone my skills towards golf togging - anyone suggest any inspiration / ideas to what to look for in a 'great golf shot'? or websites to view
(apologies for going slightly off topic)

Hi Leigh- one of my friends is going and said no cameras are allowed by spectators at all. From the T & C's:

"Entry into the venue and demarcated areas will not be allowed to persons bearing cameras, mobile phones...."

hi ali, yes i know.. you can't take anything into these golf events.. they have airport style metal detectors to walk thru on entry.

So, i won't even be able to ring the missus and tell her that i've missed the last train back from Newport and i'll have to stay out all night!!

I was at a european tour event during the summer and there were cameras all over the place. Nobody seemed to mind that the spectators had them.

The Ryder Cup might be a little more strict though.

I did the Wales open and cameras were strictly not permitted for the public, same as mobile phones.

I got told off by a steward for texting the office next to the 18th green despite there being no players even within sight. He informed me it said on my ticket and told me to check... which I did, then duly pointed out no reference to mobile phones were made on the press pass. All whilst I could hear his radio blabbering away from his back side!

Naturally.. it was on silent whilst turned on and in use (but turned off on the whole) and wouldn't be used whilst players were within sight, but felt it was wrong of him to try and make an example of me.

it's the stewards... they're quite often members of the actual course where the competitions are held at... and they love an opportunity to stamp a bit of authority in da house!

There was an off duty steward sat next to me, he laughed when the one in question had walked off an duly began slagging him off as a jobsworth :)

I can see the course from my house. Looks quite special with all the preparations they've done.

Was in the local pub for dinner tonight; everybody talking about which celebrities were staying where in the locality.
