Yes
As per title, I've been looking at the galaxy tablet prefere this to the ipad, if you own 1 what do you like/dislike about it.

I have one. Great piece of kit. I don't like the lack of decent apps compared to what's available on the iPad and that's about it. My wife has the iPad 2, there is a noticeable difference in the screen clarity in favour of the Galaxy.

Great, so do you download apps from the same place you would android phones ie the market or is the another place dedicated to tablet apps?

Interesting, as I have been looking at Samsung Galaxy, mainly for the reason that you can view websites which still use flash.

Flash was 1 of the things for me, aswell as not being tied to itunes, the option to connect usb devices swayed me towards the galaxy more than anything, that and i love android.

found this for tablet apps http://www.tablified.com/

Ironically I really miss not having iTunes on it. I have over 14,000 songs in my library all of which I available on my iPhone thanks to iCloud. I'd love to be able to rent movies from iTunes on my Galaxy Tab but I can't.

Honestly I am dissapointed with the Galaxy tab. I have an iPad as well which I gave to the other half....but steal it back most of the time.

The quality of apps on Android is appalling, frequent force closes, sometimes it will lose all charge in a few hours for no apparent reason, or won't respond. Flash is only usable on websites 50% of the time, depending on how the video is encoded.

Roll on windows 8 ARM tablets....

Sounds like you have a faulty unit. Battery lasts days and I can honestly say I have NEVER had any of those problems you mentioned.

Should look at the Hannspree Hannspad. Great tablet for little money, love mine

I paid £150 for mine and its easily rooted to ( I will be putting Ice Cream Sandwich on mine soon)

Specs are:

ARM A9 DC + Tegra II T20 1GHz, 512MB RAM,16GB Flash, 10.1" Touch LED, Bluetooth, Android 2.2

Its weird though as before I bought mine I read review and the official reviews were poor but the peoples reviews were raving. I thought for the money I would try it and I am so pleased I did, with many people who see it asking where I got it etc

No, it's just the shoddy software. I've rooted it and put a preview build of Cyanogenmod 9 on it and despite a few known issues with the build, those problems have gone away. Battery life vastly improved and some nice extras like being able to force all apps to use hardware acceleration.
