hi,

i ve been looking for simple lightbox similar to this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Graphic-light-box_W0QQitemZ120356246865QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_BOI_Office_Equipment_Supplies_Office_Equipment_ET?hash=item120356246865&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 it doesnt need to be so big(about 100cmx100cm or bit smaller), it doesnt need any legs, it might look like suitcase, anyone know where can i buy this? it doesnt need to be new, i ve checkd on ebay but there is nothing apart of item form link which is form outside of london and cant be send by post. Thanks

hmm thats more of a light table .. they are great. If you do a search for lightbox you will get those little mini tent type things that dont contain lights.. just material.

i just checked ebay for light table but results are even worse than for lightbox:( is anyone know any other places where can i buy used photo equipment?

Try looking under Transparency Viewers.

These aren't cheap either

No No please check link form first post it is light box /light table/ light panel, it is big suitcase or table with lights inside

no ifs or buts, its a light table, I have that same one, it came with a smaller lightbox about 18x12 inches on an adjustable arm.
They're quite expensive, I dunno who stocks them now, Lastolight do a foldy up tent type jobby, but its a bit Heath Robinson.
What do you actually want to do, is it to be used as a viewer ?

You're after a 1m² lightbox?! Given that a 50cm x 30cm one with daylight-balanced, flicker-free lighting costs upwards of £200, does it have to be anything special?

There's a few cheap-ish models on eBay, but I'm not sure they'll be up to scratch. You've got an A2 one at £140 or an A0 one at just over £300.

I've got no hope in even attempting to understand the accompanying text on that page, but are those shots even using a lightbox?

I can't say that's the case with any degree of certaintly, but they look like they're using multiple soft light-sources, a couple of reflectors, a mirrored surface and a couple of pieces of black foamcore at 90° to the subject.

errm, I dunno, I would think 5-10kg, physical sizes are in the link, you'll have to do a V8 and auto box on the floor;)
....a few glasses aren't heavy..? or big

Something like these?

The biggest one they (Calumet) do is A3 sized though @£270

Having had a look at the linkski I'd say you're nearer, but more likely a piece of glass with some white board or cloth beneath it rather than a mirror.

It would be easy to knock something up to do the job for say, £1.00, assuming you already had the lights ;)

Th link in your first post (ebay) is a light table which is used for viewing slides or negatives but can be used in the other. What flash in the pan linked t are more portable versions and refered to as light boxes, and can also be used as light sources but again the main use is to view slides.

The second link you had showing the glasses might well have had that as part of it lighting set up, but could also have been taken on a bit of white plastic in a light tent with lights shining through to liuminate it.

I also notice Jessops do light boxes which are fairly resonable priced, and might do what you want if they are big enough.

Hope that helps
