Got an email today from a mate with this picture enclosed, I know nothing about it or where it is but jeebus I have never seen an underwater bridge before..

Anyone enlighten me to where it is..:thinking:

I've always wondered how they build things like this....

Do they, like, build it underwater then say "Right lads....it's done...get to work with the buckets and lets empty it!" :lol:
 
I googled on 'underwater bridge' exactly as you wrote it - that link was the first thing I found!!! :eek:
 
err... It is actually the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel (MMMBT), a 4.6-mile long combination bridge-tunnel system (named for the two ironclad ships that fought in the Hampton Roads harbor during the Civil War) connecting two Virginia communities across the mouth of the James River ...
