Anyone joined the Calumet student club?

I was looking at a sensor clean at AJ Johnston Glasgow which costs around £38 or so then someone told me about the Calumet student club which is £25 to join just now and gets you a free sensor clean and 50% off all future cleans. Seems good.

Has anyone taken advantage of this? Are Calumet good with sensor cleans?

why not clean it yourself look on you tube how easy it is

I'm not sure about that especially when most cleaning kits are a good few pounds anyway. At least the first time I'd like it done properly.

I've tried their 'free' cleans on their open days where it's free but they expect you do make a charity donation so I guess they use the same staff. Nothing to fault about it really, just a quick clean. I doubt they took photo on a light photo background to check if they'd got everything off like I'd do when cleaning it myself.

i was a student member last academic year for precisely this reason - got 4 of my cameras done at the same time.
