Background. I got approached yesterday by a firm which with an office in the UK. They manufacture clothing for motocross and have a review in Motox magazine of their stuff next month.

The JOb: to take a detail shot of one set of trousers/shirt/gloves

Timescale: this week (this is why I'm not doing it, I'm stacked out with stuff this week :( )

Pay: Not discussed, I was asked to quote.

If anyone thinks they can manage this within the timescale please PM me and I'll fill in the details. Please note I know nothing about them, the initial enquiry was unsolicited and you'll have to satisfy yourself as to whether or not you want to work with them. All I'm doing is putting the opportunity up for someone :)

Can i ask did, do they seem geuine to you, does it seem like a genuine offer of work that you yourself would take if you werent so busy??
 
I think it probably is, I received an email from an addy which wasn't from the company domain. I emailed the UK enquiries address seperately to confirm it and got a valid response. They're not well known, hence the reason why they need the reviews, why they didn't get this done sooner though beats me. PM me your email addy and I'll forward the emails

Nope, I asked that as well ;) Sorry for being vague but I didn't really think it was fair to spread their details about, they may have comercial reasons for not wanting competitors to know about the review etc.

Two people have now got the copy emails, I think that should do, thanks folks.
 
Right that all looks fine to me Dod, how do i go about contacting them matey?? Just use the email addresses in the emails you sent me? Or do you have a contact for me to email?

Aye, looked okay to me too, just can't guarantee to do it this week. I was using the email address from the first email received.

Indeed. Well thought i would update to say i have been offered the work. Im really excited and happy at the moment as this is my first payed job :)
The garments i need to shoot should be with me tomorrow.

Evening all,

well today i carried out the photo shoot for the moto gear i was sent. Thought i would post up the images i took. It actually required a little more work than i imagined but it was all good experience for me, and i would definately do it again given the chance. Quite enjoyed the pressure of having to get the shots right and having to get them done by a deadline which is something i have never had to worry about before. Well here goes, as always contructive c+c always welcome :thumbs:

They seem good. Is that what they were after? Good detail n all that.
 
Last one looks a touch dark maybe but good job, they should be delighted with those.
 
Yeah, they kind of gave me an open brief to get some high detail shots of the items they sent me. basically as large and high detail as possible. all images sent to them are 2336x3505.

@dod - i certainly hope they will be happy with them :)

They didnt advise anything no, but after spending a while on their website all their other shots are taken against a black background and some of their existing shots are deliberately faded into the black background as well, as im sure dod will agree.

the glove and the top were both modelled yes.

All of the above products i have photographed are already displayed on the companies website.
