Yes
I've a yearning to go to Honister next week for the VSCC Lakeland Trial.
I've trawled through the club website but it won't give me any information until I become a member of the club - at £70 p.a.!
I'm not really of the VSCC mindset and don't own a car anywhere near old enough to join in, but I do like to see what's happening.
Is anyone on here a member and can supply some basic spectator information to me?
I've sent an e-mail to the club and have heard nothing from them.

Surely they want the general public to turn out and support their events?

Got the info.
If anyone fancies getting wet and muddy trying to get shots of very old cars give me a shout.

Don't think a Downton Mini would qualify!!!

There are some seriously old cars on the list. So old that some don't even have 4 wheel brakes.

Plus the inclusion of a couple of Bugatti. Yes, £300,000 worth of car being thrown up the Honister Quarry path.

And it's going to rain.

Spectator opportunities are limited to comply with MSA and Forestry commision reqirements. The area is remote and exposed, so good preparation for poor weather conditions is essential, and dogs are not allowed.

Thank you. I know the area and the stages quite well. Won't keep me dry on Saturday though!

Anybody else make it up there yesterday?
MattyW? Did you get there. I never saw anyone with your gear.
Did you take SWMBO? Mine decided to come along and enjoyed herself, or was that the bacon bap in the caff?
It p***ed down all the time we were up Honister, and even more so when we were in the Darling How/Graystones forests.
Two stages cancelled beacuse the weather made conditions impassable.
Photography was a challenge.
