I am toying with the idea of building a display case for my film cameras :D

Anyone else have one they could post some photos of said case :ty:

Mine's a mess as I'm using a book case and shelves in a wardrobe..anyway I can't make it pretty like yours as they have straps and some with half cases as I try to use them all... over the year h'mm or two

I bought a glass-fronted cupboard from IKEA last week which is holding about 40 cameras. I thought it would hold all of them but they seem to have been breeding.

I like the idea but I think it would be vetoed by a higher authority. :(

When we moved into our house I found this lockable stationary cupboard on gumtree for £40

They have a habit of increasing their numbers! One turns out to be comprehensively f***ed so another turns up in its place along with a spare, just in case. Of course, the original (now f***ed) example is kept for spares or eventual repair (like that ever happens!) so 1 has become 3...

I have a rather naff glass-fronted corner display cabinet that cost me a princely £5 from a charity shop, sort of thing my gran would have had in the corner of the living room.

I regularly see this type of cabinet and even full glass ex-retail units in charity shops. The mahogany veneer seemed kind of appropriate for vintage cameras, although granny-chic rather than hipster.

Remember folks.... Cameras Die in Cases.... crack open a window and a roll of film occasionally to keep them fresh. :D

There's enough crap in our house what with pot dogs, floatin candles/pebble collections and "ornaments" all over the gaff, without me adding to it with shelves of crusty cameras.

definitely not happnin

:)

I have a small, glass cabinet from Ikea that houses all my film cameras. :)

I currently keep my nicer-looking cameras on shelves, but now the Mrs is moving in with me, I think they'll be relegated back to camera bags to save space!

I don't have many cameras at one time because I generally buy them, mod them then sell them to fund the next project!

That's my Mamiya 645J kit, Yashica 44-135, Yashica 635, Sony A6K, 6x7 Snapshot and 6x7 Field Camera.

Like Carl, I don't have a proper glass display case either but something from Ikea:

Some nice setups gents
I dare not collect together all my film cameras , even I may be shocked :D

Well if we are showing pictures I might as well show my magnificent camera display (cough).....excuse the crappy Canon IXus shots as it only works for close-ups after my repair with hammer and chisel for a seized lens.

Quantity, not quality... :D
