Anyone from Salisbury in?

Bit of a long shot but hoping for some local knowledge on where to park when going up for a mooch round the christmas market in a week or two. Probably require about 4 hours. Go up about 2.30 leave about 6.30pm.
On the southern side would be ideal. But not a must have.

They have the park and ride sites.

The ring road and town centre is sometimes crowded and has traffic jams. However there are quite a few car parks depending on the direction you are coming from.

Salisbury's awful at the best of times to drive into.
With sales, black Friday aftermath, etc I'd get the train, never mind use the park and ride.
The queues leading up from Downton for the Southern ones can go back to almost Downton! (no, before anyone asks Downton doesn't have an Abbey!)

Am hoping midweek it shouldnt be too bad, not going just yet.
