Is anyone any good at using photoshop and making logo's? Im after one for my site and despite using a few tutorials today im still none the wiser. It would be cool if it could have some kind of awesome text effect in it that blends to black at the edges to fit the theme of the website, no fancy words just my name (Si Thornton) but id like it to be similar to the colour that the current logo is. Id also like it to still look professional-ish but still keep some element of fun in it. Needs to be a PNG apparently and 225px by 90px is recommended as well, but if anyone can help id appreciate it :) Forget the current content its merely there to test my new theme.

Do you charge for making ppls logos? You've got some skill there and it didn't take you long either! I've been trying all day and ended up with naff all!

Cheers Dman, have asked him in that thread. Im after a few of them really so that would be ideal, that way i can change the logo every now and again. Will probably get a full professional one once my website has evolved into what i want it to be but for now as little expense as possible would be great. Cheers fella :)

Your all probably going to hate me but ive changed the colour of my website to white now instead of black :/ Now has purple writing as well (specifically colour #8c07ad). Apparently it looks better in white so i think ill be keeping it. Sorry to all who have given me a logo so far (blame my mrs :D)

@James, Love that one mate thanks, Any chance you could change the i in Si to a lower case instead of capital? With the above taken into account as well? Dont worry if not and i apologise for the changes :/ If i ever bump into you ill buy you a pint :D

Just knocked this up in Illustrator.

3 different sizes and they are png's with a transparent background so if the wife instructs you to change the colour then it won't matter.

Actually, I'm picky with my own stuff and think the boxes look better spaced out.

Don't worry if you don't use it. Was only a couple of mins.
