What have you got?
Are you happy with it?

Me:
I have a Nikon L120.
I'm Very impressed with it tbh.

I've not got one anymore since I moved to a dslr, but I did have a few of the Panasonic FZ range (20, 30, 38, 50) before I made the move. I was very impressed with the whole range and especially the FZ30 which had a manual zoom lens. I've not seen any of the newest models, but if they keep improving the way they did they will be excellent by now.

I've got an older panasonic fz50 which I still use. It's ideal for the 'I don't know what I'm going to shoot but I'll take a camera just in case' times. It's light and has a decent zoom range and full manual control if I want it. Dual control wheels so it is operationally better than my dslr which has only one. I haven't upgraded it as the newer panasonics are all motorised zooms with silly buttons.

I had a Sony r1 with a 16-85 Carl z lens really good camera except for shutter lag no good for moto x . replaced it with a d300 never looked back.

After having to sell my DSLR a while ago (don't ask!) I have a loan of my dad's ageing Fuji Finepix S5500.

It's a quirky beast but I'm slowly learning how to squeeze reasonable performance out of it. Longing for the day I can afford a DSLR again though.

I sold my 2 x Nikon D300s' due to illness and not using them as I used to when photographing rugby and football, so I decided to buy a Nikon P510.

As of yet I haven't managed to get out and about with it, just photographing birds in the garden and a few macro shots, so far well pleased with it.

i moved from film SLR to a canon PRO1 28-200 L lens compact and had some fun, but it was quite limited in
1) ISO - i would use ISO 50 most of the time
2) Shutter lag - action was difficult - slow got used to when to press the shutter
3) Low light focus

great quality though - but it stopped me taking photos in the end - and did not really do much for about 4years
and just recently purchased a dslr

As Wayne has said they can be quite limited and coming from a D300s with a 70-200 f2.8 I knew that I wouldn't be able to do the sports photography that I used to.

But I looked at the exif data on some of my rugby/football shots and my P510 would be able to equal the ISO, high shutter speed and it does 7 fps the same as my D300s. But I doubt if it would be any good under floodlights on a dark autumn/winter afternoon.

So will look at trying some cricket and footie when I am up and about.

I still use my FZ7 fairly regularly, usually when I'm going to place that won't allow a more pro type camera in or if I'm out for the day and don't want to carry around my more expensive kit.

I had an early bridge camera and the shutter lag was terrible which is why I went back to a (D) SLR. Having said that, I bought my granddaughter a Nikon L120 and she has had some cracking shots from it, the video was particularly impressive I thought. I don't think she's had the same problems that I had with shutter lag but I guess that's progress for you.
