anyone else having problems with mirrors edge on ps3?

hi all

got mirrors edge yesterday (friday) at my local game store, and it keeps freezing all the time, im on chapter 8 i think it is and im doing everything up until a certain point and then the disc just doesnt respond my playstation doesnt respond and its not the first time in the game either, am i just unlucky and got a bad disc or is everyone having this problem? what do i do about? presumbly take it back to the shop and explain to them?

u didnt buy it from zavvi did u? lol loads of faulty goods being sold, and with the no return policy i seen many angry customers, its almost like they are sellign iffy games on purpose to make cash
 
do it, ive finished the game and didnt have any problems whatsoever... If you need any help with it let me know :thumbs:
 
hi all

took the game back today and got a replacement disc uninstalled and reinstalled game data and its still crashing at the same point cant think that it would be the ps3 as i haven't had any problems with any other games what should i do? im on chapter 8 the penultimate chapter and its winding me up should i just take it back and give up? suggestions please before i throw it out the window lol
 
have you got the ps3 connected to the interwebnet? If you have, make sure you are running the latest version software
 
check for any imperfctions on the disk perhaps use yout rocket, you use to clean your camera to see if you remove any dust from within the ps3 dust slot? it could be you have bought froma dodgy batch
 
yeah ps3 is connected to interweb and all updates done and correct, no imperfections on the disc and tried to blow the dust out of the disc drive and still not working think im just gonna take the game back and change for a different game which is a bit of a bummer cos i was enjoying the game
 
I would try and sort it out. The last chapter is awesome would be a shame to not get it done
