Anyone clued up on bikes?

Guys my son has been playing on his 16 inch wheeled mountain bike and loves it. It was a cheap ish bike and I want to get him another better one. I want either an 18 or 20 inch wheel but crucially something not too heavy. Lastly I'm thinking maybe a bmx this time as he'd love trick nuts etc. Any recommendations?

Islabikes make very good children's bikes. My nephews have them, and at my old club pretty much all the kids have them.

They're lightweight and have good components. Always amazes me how heavy most kids bikes are.

389.99 for the only bike suitable. Bit pricey. I'll have a read at some more. They have one about 60 quid cheaper but out of stock in every colour. Bummer.

Set up a gumtree alert - sounds like you aren't in a rush and you will save a load of money. I got an Islabikes like new last year for half the new price and it was unmarked.

The Frog bike looks great. There's a really nice 20 inch hybrid bike there for 310.

I didn't know you could place wanted ads on Gumtree. I'll have a look. Thanks guys.
