Has anyone been to the point to point course at Horseheath near Haverhill?

I am going to a meet there this Saturday and would like to know what it's like for taking photos. Would I only need a 70-200 or do I need to rock up with my 400 or even my 600?

Thanks in advance for your help

Can't help with Horseheath but at most point to points it's easy to get close to the action because much of the course is unfenced and is just open country. Only one I've been to I can think of that was a bit tricky was Market Rasen, because they used the National Hunt course for that.

Of course the marshalls might get a bit shirty if you get too close to the fences, but if you chat them up they'll probably let you get pretty close. I'd say a 70-200 would do you fine.

Me! I only have a 70-200 however it has always been sufficient.
Probably common sense stuff but don't use your flash (mine accidentally went off once when I was younger and more easily upset, and the man on the loudspeaker told me off.. I felt unable to take any more photos for the rest of the day :( ) Also the white railings are a pain. :|
