I'm only just beyond the totally confused stage about clamps and wondered if anyone can explain about them.
The backdrop;
I'm trying to overcome a sling type strap and tripod QR plate issue and have choices such as getting a RC2 type QR plate or, I 'think' what what I've read get a Arca Swiss type plate and then attach my strap to a clamp (such as a Kirk 1") and then (i guess) clamp my strap to the QR plate which is attached to the body/lens.
Is this how clamps (can) work?
