Yes
Bought some plain white ones on ebay and was very happy to discover the nice results with bounce flash...YES DOUBLE DOH ON ME!

Then bought a pair of gold and green ones and they really work!

Hope to play with them over the weekend and post some examples in a review even maybe!

I have seen them, but couldnt quite work out what I would use them for. Looks forward to seeing some examples :D

Easy really, the gold one compensates the flash output for tungsten light and the green one compensates for neon light...

Will go into more detail after the weekend!

Ah that makes sense, would have expected orange and blue, but guess Gold and Green must work in its own way :p

They're great they are. One other thing, i bought some for my 420ex flash, i was going to buy some more for my 430ex because they are different sizes. I soon realised that you can soak them in hot water for about 2mins and they will then mould around a different sized flash head. Probably useless info, but might save someone a few pounds.

On that point, anybody know if the new 580's head is a different shape from the "old" 580?

Oh well these things are cheap enough - will just be confusing to have 10 or so in each camera bag:bonk:
