I've got one of these and whilst it is super-quick to assemble it really does droop alarmingly when attached to my studio lights - I was wondering if anyone else has one and could comment on how they find it?

If you take a look at Lastolite's own video:

At the 3 minute and 5 second point) you can see a hint of the problem - note how the axis of the light points a little way above the horizontal, but the softbox itself points a little way below? It becomes much, much worse when I add the grid to the softbox... now I have to point the light 15 degrees upward to get the front face of the softbox anywhere near vertical! Seems like a poor design to me.

Note that this (probably) doesn't apply to the mark I version of the Ezybox as it has a different construction.

camera trickery going on there.

I have the 60cm, 80cm and the 102cm octa and none of them sag at all..they are very solid and robust.

I actually have 2 x 60cm ones as I over ordered and now have the spare for sale on Ebay as I wont ever need it..these things are great!

Yeah, I have the 80cm Octa and the 60cm square and they're awesome - the Mk II 90cm square is a different design in that it only has two "spung" panels, not four, and this is where the problem lies. I wish I'd never sold my Mk I 90cm square now!

my 60cm are both two sprung panels with poles (like tent poles) top and bottom to link the sides together and once its all built up they are solid.

That's interesting - I obviously have an earlier 60cm, as it the classic four panel design. The design of yours sounds much like the Mk II 90 cm square, so perhaps it's a good basic design that doesn't scale up very well!
