Hi Everyone!

I have recently started using wordpress and was wondering if any of you had your own websites?

I am struggling a bit with how to put pages and posts on the menu bar but other than that really loving it. Just wondered if we could share what we find out about wordpress and each others sites...

The link to mine is as follows; http://www.reallifereview.com/

As per I welcome any feedback or advice and look forward to seeing yours!

When you say put them on the menu bar what do you mean exactly? Do you just want a fixed link to a specific post/page or are you looking for something which will list all your posts as they appear?

A really useful plugin is 'Page Links To' What that means is you can create a page and instead of it's menu item taking you to that page you can have it link anywhere. I use it a lot in my site's menu for direct links to search results for certain types of products.

I've used wordpress for my site for a few years and it seems a very good platform - I'm sure there is a bit in the admin pages for adding "menu" items.
Your site seems to take a while to load even on an 80mb fibre line.

Dashboard > Appearance > Menus >

Either select the page from the most recent or search for the page you want, then click 'add to menu'. It will then add it to the end of the menu, but you can simply click on it and drag it to where you want it to display.

Moved to computers et al, you may get a better response there.

Thanks! I'll check it out!
Thats weird, did it load in the end?

Create a page called News and put that in your menu. Go to Settings > Reading and there will be two settings for Front Page and Post page. In the Posts page set the drop down to the News page.

You'll find all your posts will now appear in the News page on the menu. The problem will come with the category section for posts because if that is enabled on the side menu (if you have one) then they'll also appear there.

Wordpress makes setting up a website so easy. I remember hacking <html> before even css was about.

Your site looks good. My only comment would be the speed it took to load. Too slooooooooooooooooow......
