Yes
I've been in bed most of the day, floored by a nasty summer cold. Anybody the same? Particularly disappointed as it's my birthday today too.

Missus is going to make me a lovely hot toddy, with plenty of Brandy. Going to take it to bed, probably have an early night.

Think I am starting one. Coughing and spluttering today [emoji853]

Never had one ,not in the last 72 years anyway .saved me a fortune on hankies over the years

It could well be hayfever, as I reckon that an even mix of wet and hot weather makes it worse. You get this sudden spurt of flower growth, then the winds and wet weather and the pollen is everywhere.

Missus off to make that hot toddy for me. Off to bed now, with toddy and the missus. :)

Mine is getting worse.

Supposed to be taking my motorhome solo to Ireland on Tuesday.

I feel like cr^p.

Looks like it's not just me then, it's horrible to get a cold at this time of year, especially when the weather is so good - you'd expect a cold to be a winter thing. I had the sore bones, and feeling cold all over with no real appetite nor any energy. Then a bit of a fever today in bed. Luckily I think I'm through the worst of it, and I'm not going to let it stop me getting out with the camera tomorrow morning. Just a blocked nose and a heavy head now.

Had a good sleep last night, after the hot toddy. Still feel very stuffy today, I might sit in the front garden for a bit. I might take the camera with me, and see if I can spot any wild life. No point in staying indoors, feeling sorry for myself.

Mine is finally lifting but had a severe breathing issue on Tuesday morning. It gas delayed my trip to Ireland :-(

I'm just about over mine too - it was a bad one!!

Ireland will still be here ....

Well I set off, felt better, took things gently and started my journey after a couple of days.

Eventually got my new bike out and set off for a gentle ride.

Stopped to take a breather. At that point a car cut the kerb and slammed into me and my new bile. Car driver p***ed up, bike bent and a write off, me? A hairline fracture of my Tibia (shinbone).

Motorhome in a secure location, me back home in Bath.

This am? Feels like my cold is back.

Sorry to hear the bad news Hugh. I hope you were able to get the guys number plate and you'll get the money off him for a new bike.

Most importantly hope you're going to be ok. I had a sore throat again - but it soon passed, still got a cough though.

In 55 years, I've probably had a cold only a few times, not sure why,the rest of my family were always coming down with them.

Over the years I rarely had colds This latest ‘cold’ is unlike anything I have ever had. I always enjoyed hill walks, camping etc along with long distance cycling tours. Now in my early 60s I seem to be less resilient. Matbe it is just the next phase in life?

Yep.....and only 24 hours after coming back from 30 degrees in Florence..... :(

Still got a few sniffles, but cold almost gone. Must be one of the longest I have ever had.
