Yes
Well, it looks as if I'm going to be moving back to somewhere around the Suffolk/Cambridgeshire border as I've a new job based just outside Cambridge. So, any TP members in this area?

I am in Norfolk aswell, starting to really hate it though.

Tony

I'm between Cambridge and Huntingdon and spend a lot of time in Ipswich...

I'll be based in St Ives! Probably spending a lot of time everywhere.

I live in Fenstanton, which is the village south of St Ives! Drop us a note when you get here if you want. There's a good raptor centre just outside St Ives if that floats your boat but we're a bit lacking in mountains...

It would certainly be useful to chat to someone who knows the area and where the nicer parts of the countryside would be to find a cottage. I come from Bury St Edmunds way but the Cambridge, Huntingdon, Peterborough area always seemed a bit flat. It seems that the original Anglo Saxon name for St Ives meant 'muddy'.

I always wanted a Goshawk as a child, but well... you know.

I'm between Thetford and Kings Lynn :)

OK, that also quite close as I'm thinking of relocating to the Newmarket area. I used to love the King's Forest and the Little Ouse river around Santon Downham is/was delightful.

I'm in Norwich, Norfolk, an hour away from Cambs.

As a child I used to go with my Grandmother to the Norwich Castle museum - loved it.

Some of the villages around the west and northern side of Norwich can be quite nice. I had a team undertaking ecological surveys along the whole of the River Wensum during the summer of 2006 so I just used to have to go there to see them, H&S audits of course ;)

I live in the Thetford - Watton area, Depending on your preference to photograph, you will find some interesting subjects around Thetford town, there are also areas such as Santon Downham, Croxton, Elveden, Lynford, East Wretham wildlife trust.
Suffolk area Ixworth there are some windmills + watermills. Bury st Edmunds plenty of interest there.
But at the moment everything is so overcast.

Norfolk is a lovly area with plenty of interest for Photographers, The Broads The Coast, Norwich City, there is so much to keep one busy.

Good Luck

From the looks of it there's enough of us to think about a get together.

I live in Norfolk (way East) and don't take kindly to strangers.

*sound of feint banjo playing wafts across the fens*

What's wrong with Norfolk?

It's Crap for someone my age, i have not had a girlfriend in three years because i can't drive and get to places where all my friends used to hang out :(

:)

We're (Marianne and I) are in Haddenham, near Ely. Well, actually own in a house in St.Ives - don't ask unless you want to buy it!

I'm looking for somewhere to rent - preferably long-term. While I'm envisaging a country cottage, a period townhouse would be a possibility? However it has to meet Home Office security standards for firearms, or the owner has to be willing for me to have an alarm system and security installed.

Sorry, doesn't meet any of those requirements..... unless you want to come to an agreement with my ex-wife!

Now, this gun thing....... :naughty: ;)

I live in a village called Waterbeach just north of Cambridge.

Sorry, it was just a poor attempt at humour! :shake:

It's OK but, understandably, the police have no sense of humour when it comes to firearms.
