Any togs been to Fabric Nightclub?

As the title says really. Looking to see if anyone on here as done any nightclub work at Fabric nightclub in London?
I checked there website, and its not the usual bring your camera along. Which i expected. I noticed a e-mail link to request permission to photograph in the club. So i sent a e-mail requesting a press pass for the event i am attending this week.

I dont have high hopes to be honest. But was just wondering if anyone has had success getting one from them before?
 
Most of the time the promoters will have sorted out photographers the night. Sometimes they are professional but alot of the time the togs are good amatuers also interested in the music.

I've not been to Fabric for a while but there was always togs from websites like Don't Stay In. Occasionally there were togs from some of the music mags too.

I imagine if you rock up with a small bag with SLR, flash and a couple of lenses the you may be asked questions. If you turn up with a quality compact that with a little thought can produce good results then i think you'll be ok.

Been there before? Make sure you get on the vibrating dance floor in the main room!!

I Do tog work for Dont stay in, but nothing on the website. So hoping i hear back from them about the e-mail i sent. My compact isnt the greatest, just a average every day cheap one. Hoping santa brings me one for xmas :lol:

Nope this is my first time! Been wanting to go for a couple years, but havent been able to afford it. Going down to see Luciano play.
 
Fabric is an awesome venue - been several times (although not to take pics) The building was a former meat market (or something similar) and some of the construction is really interesting and the lighting is superb, you cant really not get good pics in there! Oh and definately check out the vibrating floor lol :cool:
 
Just had a e-mail back from Fabric. They asked for examples of my work, and said if they were good it shouldn't be too much of a problem! Result :D
 
Sounds like you could be on to a winner. You will have a good night.

Word of warning though, leave some energy for the end of the night. There are several flights of stairs to climb before getting out of the club. They can be a killer at 7am after a hard night on the dance floor!!

How was Luciano?

Got any photos from the night?
 
Fabric/SE1 are both venues which can be a complete pain.

A friend had to give an exact list of what was in the camera bag inc all the codes for it before the event.

There used to be a very strict no pics policy on certain nights.

Unfortunately they didnt get back to me. I think i really need to get a bigger portfolio of local clubs before approaching big clubs like Fabric.

Still went along to the night. Was without a doubt my best clubbing experience to date. Well apart from Space in Ibiza! Luciano was unbelievably good, he absolutely destroyed the place!

Wow sounds good, I prefer Amnesia over Space. How long did Luciano play for?
 
He came on at 5. Was meant to be playing untill half 7 himself and then playing back to back with pedro untill 9. There are rumours about that they didnt stop untill 12pm on Sunday though!

Haha, wow. 12AM! Really shoudl off gone to this but had other things planned. Pedro a resident there?
 
I know, i was gutted when i heard that! We left a wee bit early to beat the taxi ques, so would of stayed if we had known.
No he is a DJ on Lucianos Cadenza record label. Was on of the residents at DC10 in Ibiza before it closed. He played a incredible set.

Amnesia gets to full of knobheads, they go way way over capacity, in general ibiza has got a bit full of knobbers though.

Space is rumoured to be getting turned into a big shopping center soon. Not good sadly for an iconic place, bora bora beach bar potentially the only good place in play dem bossa then.

Yeah I know what you mean about the dicks in Amnesia, although I loved it and didnt have any trouble. I know that the lease on Space expired the season just gone..where did you heard about the shopping center idea? Really hope thats not true-Space is Ibiza!
