Any Synology expert users? - adding download task from iPhone

Hi all,

I am having problems getting my recently purchased app - SynoDS working right outside of my home wifi zone.

When inside my home network on wifi, I can add downloads to my Synology through my iphone, by navigating to my favourite download site, adding the torrent file, and the synology does the rest.

However, when outside of my home wifi network and on either 3G or GPRS mobile reception I cant get it to work.

I have googled this till I am more confused than when I started...

Please could anyone help me out?
Someone mentioned another way of doing it would be to download the torrent file into a dropbox or sugarsync folder, and set up my Synology to "watch" that folder, thus detecting the new torrent file - and starting the download automatically....however Im not 100% clear on how Id do that either..

i would imagine you would need to use a dyndns service to give your home connection a permanent name (rather than a changing IP) and opening any required ports on your router.

for example to connect to the web interface of mine from external ive opened port 5000 on my router which is the default admin interface port and have a dyndns set up on my router so i just connect to..

How do access Dyndns? Is that within the synology diskstation manager?
Also, could you tell me how I open port 5000? Im on my BtHomeHub settings screen right now..
