Yes
I've got to go through Settle to Langcliffe then up the steep zig zag road. I know this is a trap for snow and ice, so is anyone from Settle on here and if so do you know what the road is like?

A Bit late now for you but the road you mention is a great area for photography and the council usually keep it open with daily road clearances and gritting

Tis a bit late, but I never went anyway!
Might go on Saturday. When were those taken?
It is a bus route isn't it? One of those little mini bus jobbies, but I don't know if the service runs in winter. Settle to Malham I think. If it does run then I would assume that the road will be kept open. If it doesn't then the council won't be interested.

The little hopper buses run between May and end of October but If your going for photography go via car would my advice as you can get to all sorts of near by spots my pics were taken about 18 months ago after we had had a big downfall of snow the gritters and snowploughs were up there all day back and forth

I know the council have a lot of cutbacks etc but a lot of people depend on the road being open I have been during snow on quite a few occasions and the odd time the odd branch road has been closed but never stopped from having a good day out with the camera

Thanks, I thought the buses might be seasonal. I didn't want to get half way up the hairpins to find problems that meant I couldn't go up or back down.
I know the area reasonably well and have ridden a bike up it, just like your photo.

Not totally relevant but I went to school in Giggleswick, the village across the bridge to Settle. Some very good scenery around but best to get out of the car and walk a little way.
