Yes
I went up to Grasmere with the pooch today for a spot of walking. In usual Df stylee, I couldn't be bothered to cart the camera round.

But to my amazement I've never seen so many dslr's in one place  some of the owners must be on here surely

Not me, though I am tempted to go up and get some autumn colours :)

Did you pay a visit to the Grasmere Gingerbread shop ??

No visit to Grasmere is complete without buying some. I only buy a small portion usually :whistling:

Not me either, you could let us know in advance next time though!!!!! :p

I did indeed have a slight detour into the gingerbread shop, before plonking my backside down in Wordsworth's daffodil garden and scoffing the lot :D

LB, I have a book of walks across the Lake district and I've only managed a few of them......next time I go, I'll give you a yell ;)

Most of the day was across the tops of the peaks around that area,

I was there on Sunday, weather great, did Orrest Head in Windermere (highly recommended), then Grasmere (just finished the gingerbread this evening), then Rydal Caves & around the Lake, fab day, I have a few DSLR's but take my Canon Powershot A620, it's more convenient on walks & produces very reasonable shots, I'll try & post one of my panoramas later, I love the Lakes.
Regards Kevin

Not me on that day, but often is. My wife was brought up in Grasmere so we visit quite often. Father in Law was vicar at the church for years.

Did you go up the lion and lamb?

I never managed to make it into a pub in Grasmere, I sampled a swift one in elterwater :naughty:

I'd be interested to know the details of the Orrest head one :)

I don't go half way round the world without beer :D ;)

Helm crag and a few other odd names were splattered across the map :cuckoo:
